Future of FRM

Hi,
To the candidates cleared FRM and others,
Anyone who has passed FRM both levels in last couple of years how do you look at future of FRM? Is this really worth pursuing in terms of job, knowledge and compensation? It may not be worth comparing with CFA as CFA program is well recognized than FRM.

Firstly, the FRM lvl 1 and lvl 2 are being introduced next year and previous passes were based on one full exam in November each year.
Secondly, If you are interested in Risk or/and want to pursue a career in this area then i can see no harm in taking this designation. On the other hand, if you are not planning to do anything with Risk, then this designation can only be a waste of time and money. If you are not sure what careers to pursue then CFA is the one to do for since it covers a range of topics/areas and the knowledge learnt can be linked to different job titles.
Finally, this designation is less costly in comparison to CFA or CAIA, but the compensation after completion should really depend on the experiences that you have and/or the way you sell yourself during an interview.
