When I passed level 1 (several years ago), I spent the first 5-10 minutes of the exam regurgitating all the formulas I could remember so I would have them written down and would not forget them in the heat of the moment. Is this an advisable strategy for level 2? Thanks.

Can’t say abt level 2 but I used to do this in high school chemistry exams (with success) - but that says more about my lack of interest in studying that subject than a success/failure of the strategy.

Well… seeing that there’s approximately 500+ formulas for the L2 exam, I don’t think this is an advisable strategy. It’s best to just know them. Also, for many candidates, time is of the essence on the L2 exam with the vignette/item set format…
Besides, the exam will probably be more qualitative than you think

There are only a handful of formulas you need to memorize.
The rest are either intuitive, or not required.

You would be spending so much time writing them. Maybe read the vignette first and then write the formulas you think might be needed or else you will be spending too much time writing formulas that you might not need. Also, I think a lot of them are intuitive so you will have to know them in order to understand the concept, which is really what you will be tested on
