Hi,
I’m new to this forum, and this is my first time attempting the CFAI. I’m sure this question get ask a lot.
- Generally, is the ebook enought to passed the CFAI?
Would a third party study aid increased the passing rate significantly?

Third Party is good if you are under time-contraint such as working full-time etc. But overall, I would go with the actual CFA material even though its much longer than any third party material.
-Good luck,

Thank you singsaga123. I do work full time, and i’m teaching a economics class at a local community college. Time is tight, but I should be able to read do all the materials by the June 2016 exam.
I’m not a good standardized test taker at all, so I will need to do more practice questions than the average person. I know that Kaplan Schweser come with 6 mock exams for their selfstudy packet for $649. It seems Schweser is the most commonly used test prep. Is that the “best” one? Time is more important to me than cost of test prep at this time, and I dont have time to waste.

BigMike, since you are in the same situation as me (full-time), I would then highly recommend you using Kaplan as they tend to focus on the core material. Having said that, I would still recommend you doing practise questions from actual CFA books. Offcourse, you can’t go wrong with a lot of practise questions so incorporating questions from both CFA and Schewsar will definitely be beneficial.

Yeah, I think that’s a good plan. Thank you, Singsaga123.
