good advice. being humble and respectful to everyone shouldn't be viewed as weakness, imo. it's good strategy that can be used to your advantage when dealing with people on many different levels. If you're a BSD, there's no need to go out of your way to prove it by belittling other people's stupid ideas, for example. If you prove it between the lines (when it counts) the payoff will take care of itself and the people around you will encourage your success. They'll say "he's a good dude, he deserves it" instead of resenting your success.
