I actually decided against inquiring further. However, I did forward it around to all my friends, and one of them may well have inquired further with him / her.

an old nickname. I was going to ask what a "numi" is, but I figured it out.

Even if you live in NYC, it can take you months to get a job - especially if you are out of school and not having great connections. What I would strongly suggest that you do is apply to companies, and in your application or cover letter let them know that you are interested in relocating. If a company is serious about you, they'll call you, might even have a first round interview with you. After that, if they like you they'll ask you for interviews here - and chances are that they will pay your expenses during your stay.

Just wondering - is your GPA 3.4+ and do you have 2+ classes in accounting?

Thanks for the replies so far... even the ones on the various uses for craiglist.com lol.

you make a good point, but I have already sent many resumes using job boards to various places in the U.S, stating that I am willing to relocate at my own expense, however so far only local companies have been interested enough to even give me an interview.
My GPA is ~3.1 and I have taken 5 one semester accounting classes. Why do you ask?

Reason I ask is because I am pretty sure that we are looking for a few people for entry-level positions, but have that requirement and I know they are pretty rigid about it.

Have you considered using a placement agency? They are suprisingly good at helping you - even if it is for a temp position, since they want to get their commission from the company.

You caught me!!!!!!! actually, numi is short for another word...but i just thought it sounded cool.

by the way, i think i'm changing my name to "nehemiah."

do it. I can see it now:

I, Nehemiah Numi, a theological analyst employed by the Nehemiah Urban Ministry Inititaive, hereby certify that all of the ecclesiological and ecumenical views expressed in this research report reflect my personal views about any and all of the subjects discussed herein. In addition, I hereby certify that no part of my compensation, pecuniary or spiritual in nature, was, is, or will be, directly or indirectly related to specific recommendations or views I have expressed in this report, nor is it tied to any specific interdenominational banking transaction or conversion performed by the Nehemiah Initiative, or any other subsidiary or affiliate thereof.

Big Nodge -- very clever. I'm impressed! That's definitely one for the books...well played.

wegowayback -- that's a good question. Are you a coin collector?

hehe.

i wasn't, however, clever enough to figure out the mystery word, until wego's hint. But now I get it, and that's a pretty good handle for an analyst.

no, but a couple years ago i looked at the stock CLCT which is how i knew what your user name meant.

darn, i should've given the clue about CLCT first instead of blurting it out
