Got a 69% on first Schweser Mock Exam...am I in bad shape??

Just took my first mock exam from the volume 1 of Schweser exams, and got a 165/240 ~= 69%. Is this a a bad start? Also, my ethics score was a 21/36 = 58% if that matters. Would I pass if this was the real exam for the Level 1 CFA???
 
Depends on how objective and exam like your practice conditions are. Do you time yourself? Do you use formula sheet? Do you take a break of not more than one hour? On my L1 I did some of these practice exams with a highest score of 58%. Did the exam much better.
There is no merit in scoring high in practice exams.
 
I took it exactly as the real exam (no formula sheet, timed myself exactly for 3 hours each of the 2 parts, and took a 1 hour break). Feel like I can really improve my ethics here.
 
If you scored 69% in Schweser mock you are very safe in my opinion. I scored around 60% on my Schweser mock and I passed the real exam.
 
Take 3 practice exams and see how you score on average. If you score consistently above 70% you have a very high chance of passing.
What score are you expecting?
