Hi all,
I just got a notice of investigation from CFAI about the suspected cheating report last week. They said, they got a pencil on my dest which contained notes on it, and also took a picture for that pencil. But I have to say that pencil wasnt mine, I didnt use it or even touch it during the exam. I never attempt for cheating …
My true experience is, I got that pencil from the floor of the examination hall, and did not carefully check the body of the pencil before the exam (I was really nervous, and thought about the formulas all the time right before the actual exam started). The reason of picking up the pencil is that I had not brought enough pencils and pencil sharpener to the exam because I got nervous during the start of the exam, so I picked up it just in case my own pencil would be not sharp or broken during the exam. I did not know this pencil has any notes on it, otherwise I would through it right away.
I saw that picture, seriously, I still cant see any notes on it. That pencil was a 2B, but what I use is HB pencils.
I am so upset now, because I didnt cheat or even attempt for cheating. I have already send a statement to them, What should I do for the next? I dont want to just wait untill they send me to final sanction…
Does anyone have any suggestion for such case? Please and Thank you~!!!

You’re essentially screwed.
What surprises me is how you’ve dedicated so much to this program yet forgotten to bring pencils.

Is your username a phone number?
show us the alleged photo. I don’t see how you can fit notes onto a pencil.

no, not my number.
the proctor said ‘the student/candidate had a pencil that had a clear plastic containing notes. The notes were numbered’.

Hard to imagine this without seeing photos of said pencil.

this joint is so competitive in canadia that folks sabotage each other. wouldnt be surprised if another duder ‘accidentaly’ dropped a few of those pencils in the room before the exam LOL

Do you realize how absurd this story sounds? I’m goign to have to call bullsht on this…
You wrote those formulas yourself, and got caught, and now you’re making up a story that the pencil wasn’t yours. That’s how they will see it. Even if they somehow believed your wild story, you were still using the pencil, and the formulas were in front of your face
I don’t see this working out well for you.

I understand some people wont believe that, because I cant believe it happened to me as well.
first of all, i have to say, I didnt use that pencil during the exam, or even pay much attention on it. everything is due to my careless, so upset about it.
I want to provide same evidences to them, but I dont know what should I do now…

At the very best, you did a lousy job of keeping track of your pencils. If you are so bad at managing your writing apparati, why should anyone trust you to manage their money? (Or be involved in any juncture of the investment decision making process at all.)

PS- worst case scenario, you are a liar and a cheater, and - if so - I would bid thee good riddance, sir.

On the TV show COPS, if they find something on the guy, he’ll say something like “Officer, I swear, these are not my pants!!!”
Don’t known if it will work with the CFAI though.

On a serious note..please answer few questions.??
1)Why you picked the pencil in the 1st place?
2)Why you failed to notice that the pencil had controversial stuffs written all over it?
If the proctor was able to spot the notes on the pencil then you are 100% going to lose your results..

BS– not even close to good satire… maybe if the pencil were one of these I would believe it….

As you are on Level I, odds are that if this situation is true, you tried to cheat, got caught and so you made up this story.
If you really are innocent, then let us see a picture, so it’s more believeable and people would probably help you out.

ok, the scanned picture is really big, cant post up here. i will send it to you privately.
