Can any one suggest great books related finance industry (Not CFA Books) while we are waiting for results?.

Industry Experts,
Can you suggest any Excel/VBA type Books or finance modeling material, we can buy on Amazon/Ebay?

Good luck with your exam results.

currently i'm reading the intelligent investor by benjamin graham. pretty famous book...

i hear the financial modeling book by beninga is good.

Understanding Arbitrage - by Billingsly.

Pretty short < 300 pp., good read, short and to the point.

Oh yeah, I only responded because I thought your website was pretty cool. Keep it updated and I will go back.

"Advanced Modelling in Finance using Excel and VBA" by Jackson and Staunton is a great read.

Just picked up Dixit's "Thinking Strategically." Pretty good so far. Not specific to just finance, but none the less a good book

Hands down, the best bang for your buck: http://www.berkshirehathaway.com/letters/letters.html

Yeah but most of these books are about as interesting as the CFA books. Real entertaining Finance books below:
1. Liar's Poker
2. Monkey Business
3. Traders, Guns and Money
4. Den of thieves
5. Fooled by randomness
6. The black swan
7. City Boy

Black Swan --> in a class of its own

Voit's 'Statistical Mechanics of Financial Markets', Good to Great, The PayPal Wars, The Handbook of Inflation Hedging Investments, and Tycoons

are all interesting. Cheers.

I just finished "After the trade is made: Processing Securities Transactions" by David Weiss. About 450 pages. It was interesting because not a lot of people are exposed to operations or back-office areas of financial services unless you are in ops. But you can also skip sections of the book.

"Biologically Inspired Algorithms for Financial Modelling (Natural Computing Series) " by Brabazon and O'Neill. Even if you don't use this book for finance, it's a great read for the content alone. It's fascinating material.

Strangely enough, that does sound fascinating. I'm going to take a look.

I just read "Super Crunchers" by Ian Ayres on vacation, not the best I've ever read, but still interesting and a good read.

To add, Misbehavior of Markets is an eye opener (even more so than Black Swan IMO).
