Has anyone completed the PRM?

I'm considering taking PRM exams I and II (possibly III) this fall.

PRMIA (like the CFA) touts their own curriculum (Professional Risk Manager's Handbook), but if I used their old reading list (http://www.prmia.org/certification/Exam_Books.html) will I have covered the necessary material?

Anyone have experience with the diagnostic exams?

Other than resources from PRMIA, are there third party resources (study guides, sample exams)?

Any comments on the PRM question format vs. CFA question format?

I wrote level II a few weeks ago. I did purchase the ciriculum and diagnostic exam. It can be pricy if you seperate the four exams. Diagnostic exam was ok. You can repeat the exams a few times to get new questions. On level II, questions were like intro math courses.....sometimes i questioned what was the point of taking the exam. I passed without looking at the last section on numerical analysis at all so i guessed on them. Format is straigtforward like any other mc financial designation. Section III is the real heart of the designation. Section one is like cfal1 material. I am preping for III and IV now. I'd just go with the text book, and not bother with other books, make life easier for yourself.
 
If you're getting your CFA charter, doing PRM's 1 & 2 seems a little silly. The readings for IV are pretty interesting....

hey smgardy, how tough did u find exam 1? can i safely leave the section on credit derivatives? its way over my head :(
 
I completed the PRM in about 5 months (included a move in there). The best advise i can give for PRM is to
a. Read the PRM handbook atleast 2-3 times
b. Go through the sample papers that they have out.

For 1 they did not ask credit derivatives. The exam's are actually much simpler than the material. The material, especially III was awsome. I must say after taking PRM its easier to understand Basel II and the regulatory side of business. I dont know if FRM covers that to this extent.
