I am thinking about signing up for one of these and was wondering if anyone had tried either. I am using Schweser notes and CFAI books to study for the level one test in December. I am also in the process of getting my MBA at night, so I did not have time to do the leve classes or weekly seminars. Do you think this would be worth it?

Thanks for any advice!

I took them. Its worth it if you don't understand something or find the material complex. If you fairly understand everything from the book, three days isn't really going to help you.

CFA Houston,

Which course did you take?

I took the 3 day course in Houston for L1.

Hoenstly, it didn't really helped much. But, I am planning on taking it again for L2 because:

1) L2 is harder and more complex
2) Company pays for it.

recfa,

If you have a harder time in Accounting, I would suggest taking the John Harris Workshop. I didn't take it last year cause it wasn't offered in Houston, but I am attending it this year.

However, people couldn't stop praising about it on the L2 board.

They are. Since the professor was going on a fast rate, any one ever had a chance to ask questions or have a discussion.

also, they don't cover ethics. They provide you with a lecture CD.
