Has the CFA helped you find a job?

Wondering if anyone can actually say that the CFA has actually helped find you a job? I’m not talking about those in the industry “moving up” I’m specifically addressing those looking for a career change. Can’t say it has done anything for me personally.

Yeah sure, no argument there but that wasn’t the question. To get industry experience you need a job do people feel the CFA will help you get said job?
 
This has been talked about ad nauseam on this forum. The short answer is No. The long answer can be found using the search function.

Experience is the key to getting a job.
Experience w/ CFA exams can only be better.
 
A big fat NO. In my firm it is just a hurdle put in the way of people within the company to prevent them moving onward and upward. Plenty of people are hired from outside to fill the higher positions without the CFA. Within the company other qualifications are viewed more highly.
 
I would actually think the CFA has helped me prepare for networking and interviews where I could speak very intelligently about technical side of things, be it macro, quant, financial analysis or portfolio management. This has definitely helped in terms of impressing people in interviews. I have only passed L2 of the exam and would say going through the curriculum has helped tremendously in interviews.

agree with this. This is the reason why i do the course rather than for the designation itself.
