Help: Doc file not recognized

I am trying to send a word document file through the internet but I get an error saying only PDF, RTF, TXT, DOC are the only valid file extensions. Since this is a word document I don't know what the issue is. Any help?

Open a new Word document (blank) and capy/paste the text from your file. Save the new file and see if you can send that.

make sure that you name your file .doc or whatever.

just to clarify, what is the file extension of your document ?
I'm assuming that it is .doc and that it's being bounced regardless ?
