I'm a first-time registrant for the Dec. 2006 Level I exam. I bought the CFA Inst. study materials, but now I'm seeing alot of talk about Schwerser notes. Should I get these materials too?

Also, any advice on a prep course?

Get Schweser. Trust me, I am 2 for 2 with Schweser (with any luck soon to be 3 for 3).

If you took all those relevant courses during your undergraduate, it is enough to follow Schweser/Stalla notes.

If not, it would be hard to build a framework of all the knowledge by using notes only---my experience.
