So, I had to look this job up. Apparently, it's for a pirate-themed hedge fund. (The link is a bit spotty. Dealbreaker seems to be having difficulties today.)

Who said anything about smart?

there are a whole bunch of reasons why I don't think most of us would be able to land the role, but being "smart" is not a top 3 reason to me.

Obviously, otherwise you'd be implying that you are not smart. While I think people on here could definitely get that job, here are the top 3 reasons people could not if I had to guess:

1) Overqualified.
2) Poor credentials/work experience.
3) Poor marketing and communication skills.

FrankArabia's trying to say you should just get a back office entry level job in Canada paying 70K, which they hand out after you pass border checkpoints.

Smirk posts nonsense.

risk management and treasury at a bank are not "back offices" by conventional definitions nor is it easy to get 70k unless certain requirements are met. however, i believe many of you are qualified.

i recommend viewers to ignore Smirk for sure.
