So OT gets deleted but now there's a forum trying to get people to "hook up"

what is the deal about mumbai study group? I joined the forum only few months ago and I guess the joke predates that... Anyone care to enlighten?

There always seems to be a disproportionately high number of Indian CFA candidates looking for a study group in Mumbai.
 
It's the other way around. Mumbai is an ancient city named after a Hindu goddess. The Portugese named it Bom Bai (or similar) meaning "good bay". The British then adopted the Portugese name. About 10 years ago the Indians decided to get rid of this vestige of colonialism and restored its original name.
