They say level one requires about 250 hours… is Level 2 about 250 too?

I would say 300 is a safer bet for L2. I would much rather over study and nail the exam than study “just enough” and face the risk of wasting another year of my life studying.

I’m aiming for 400hrs L2 b/c I can’t f-it up. And my background is in this mess! If you fail you will have to wait a whole another year plus torture yourself all over again! And buy more material b/c the previous year is old. Better to suffer in agony the first time and have peace afterwards than die twice.

But Nep-hi….with 3 months to read and I month for review….time is short…becoz LI results come out late. Unless you have already cleared L1…Just wondering?

Well.. I can’t write until 2010 so I’ll take my time.

I passed L1 June 2008. I think I’ve already clocked 100+ hours for L2.
I read CFAI Quant and Econ, no problems.
Then read Schweser Quant, Econ, and now I’m halfway through FSA. I completed all concept checkers and corresponding CFAI problems and wrote detailed notes for review later. I also completed about 120 Qbank.
I want to make sure I pass on my first try.

Topher and others…..
In the meantime, do you have any ideas where one can get L2 materials at least one or two topics to go over before Jan 28th.
I live in LA.
tks

Agreed, 500+ to know it cold and go in knowing you’re prepared for the worst case scenario.

level 2 is two times bigger than level 1 so 500 hours sounds about right. and level 3 is three times bigger than level one so 750 hours for level 3. these are min requirements.

CFAi recommends 250hrs efficient study per Level.

Quoting figures of 750 is pure exaggeration, and I hardly think that the majority of people that have passed spent 4hrs per day studying everyday for 187 days.
Of course, i may not be qualified to talk having only just sat lvl 1, but judging by the number of pages in the lvl 2 schweser notes it appears to be the same as lvl 1.
