As opposed to emotionally calling them?itera wrote: they physically call 3 references I recall
They do not call. The references get a link to fill out a brief questionnaire detailing your experience.itera wrote: they physically call 3 references I recall

Yea when people start to ask exactly how work experience is being verified.. sounds like something not exactly kosher is brewing here..S2000magician wrote:

This is wrong. The CFAI does not verify your work experience, it’s not something people should be worrying about.itera wrote:

I wrote my experience on paper along with the start/end dates + submitted 3 references. i know for certain CFAI called at least 1 reference and confirmed my experience for that position.Palantir wrote:

Then your experience is dated. CFAI doesn’t call references to verify work experience. If people are worried about their experience, they can simply reword it or make it up.itera wrote:

I seriously don’t care if you choose to believe it or not. and if someone was going to be 100% honest about what they are writing down. there’s 0 reason to be “worried” at all. someone is only “worried” if they are fudging their experience, concerned about getting caught, or think their experience won’t pass (in which case it’s unfortunate, but if CFAI judges it to be that way, then it is what it is)Palantir wrote:

if you want to advocate someone making up their experience that’s your opinion. Obviously that’s highly unethical, and I strongly disagree with doing that. It also undermines the value of the charter. Since you claim to have the charter I’m actually rather disappointed that you would encourage people lying on their application. I hope you don’t do that in your own career/jobPalantir wrote:
