How do I become a CFA proctor?

I don’t think the CFA proctors have anything to do with CFAI. Aren’t they all professional test administrators?

You’re joking right? What test center did you take the tests? Pretty obvious these guys are doing it for the $10/hr or whatever they are paid and have no idea what is on this test.

I wonder if this would count towards CFA work experience.
 
spoke to one of the proctors at my centre, and he was a medical resident at the university.
No CFAI involvement there!

From what I remember it’s much better than $10/hr. When I took Level I, I ran into a friend of mine who was a proctor there.
 
Why do you wanna be a freaking proctor? I honestly felt sorry for them for having to walk around for 3 hours without anything to do.
 
Yeah its much better that $10. A buddy did it and got somthing like $250 for the day. Not too shabby for standing around for hours and counting tests afterwards.
 
I got to say.. there were a few cute girls proctoring.. Luckily I was too determined and focused to let it get to me.. hehe

Sounds like a pretty sweet gig, wonder if they would give preference in hiring CFA candidates
 
I think the more satisfying job I was told is to grade the CFA exams once you get the Charter. You get to see from the other side how things are.
 
They are just hired for the day…nothing to do with CFA. I remember when I was in Singapore and there was this cutie I was talking to during the break, when I went to collect my cell. She was like..so what’s the exam all about? I was like…well, its a lot to explain in a minute, so how about I explain it over a snack or something? I guess she didn’t see that one coming, but I did manage to get her number at the end of the day ;)
 
they are from other professional field, like medicine or law. CFA candidate cannot be proctors.
 
the proctors in london were not from a professional field…….some of them seemed clearly uneducated.
