How do you calculate 40/60/80 score

If you receive a >70 result in a section, multiply its weighting by 80%. If you received 50-70, use 60%. If you received <50, use 40%. Add them up and that is your projected score. Divide by the total number of points available on the exam and that is your percentage score.

if you want to increase your accuracy further, you can count the exact number of questions in each section for L3. sometimes 60% is physically impossible
