Just looking at starting studying soon.
Was wondering - is it a must to cover the syllabus in a specific order? (though I’d ask, because things seem more interconnected in L3 than the previous two levels)..
I wanted to start off with Fixed Income and Equity Portfolio Mgt (Study Sessions 10-12), and finish this off before year end.
Just really wanted to know whether it’s possible to dive straight into those (FI & Equity SS10-12) without having ready any of the earlier parts of the syllabus (Cap Market expectations / behavioural finance etc).
Any advice would be appreciated, cheers!

If I were you, I would combine currency management and fixed income, not equity and fixed income. But then you need derivatives. So it is not so easy))).
Probably risk management is the most clear-cut piece which you can swallow this year).

There is a natural flow to the curriculum. I chose to go with the shortest readings first to give my studies momentum and keep me motivated. It worked for me and I really mixed the readings up. I did Capital Market expectations last.

Thanks, which Study Session is currency management in?
Maybe it’s best to just get the two Risk Management Study Sessions out of the way by December…

Read the curriculum in order, starting with Behavioral Finance. After you finish reading it all, you’ll see how each section spills into the next.
