22, just passed L1 in June after graduating with a BBA in Finance and Economics from a small second-tier school.

I'd like to get into research, but for now I'm working in Operations at a bulge bracket firm in NYC. Any advice on how to make the transition besides the obvious (networking, getting CFA, going back for an MBA)? Also does anyone know if the CFA Institute would accept certain operations functions as acceptable work experience? Right now I'm in risk management operations.
 
I finished undergrad at 25 (took 3 years off) w/ a bus/econ degree from UCBerkeley...started working when I was 26...Got my first job as investment associate at one of the largest asset management companies in the world doing entry level work like running reports, making presentations (nothing glamourous)...worked my butt off w/ strong willingness to learn...Today I'm 28 and an Assoc. Portfolio Manager (usually takes 5 years work exp) and managing small/med sized portfolios..all thanks to a recruiter. Suffice it say, some recruiters are on your side. I told them exactly what I wanted and they got it for me..as well as the pay. Get in any way you can and shine.
 
22, working at S&P. I've been working for a year so far, graduated from Cornell last year with a BS in Operations Research so I don't really have a strong finance background. I may look into doing financial engineering, but for now I'm concentrating on passing level I.
 
24 years old, 3 years of experience...L2 candidate.......work in big 4
 
23, just graduated with undergrad in Finance and Economics. Working as an investment analyst for a venture capital fund.
 
25 qualified as an accountant in the UK, it is not for me. So taking the career change at the moment. L1 in December!
 
24, did my bachelors with a double major in finance and economics. Doing a master's in finance right now and preparing for L1 in dec.
Looking for some great work experience in bulge bracket firms (hopefully)!
