Hows the Schweser QBank?

I think the Qbank sucks for Level II.
I’m only perusing it when I’m half-studying/eating, half hungover, or drunk.

i’ve been doing a few questions. It seems to bed down some of the easier material which I think is quite important.
I will be doing 60 or so questions from Qbank after each chapter.

Yea…this. I open up the QBank when I’m running on “E” and just want to get some simple review in. I’m pretty disappointed, but I can’t say I wasn’t told about it.

Are there any practice questions provided by an alternative provider than CFAI that are more reflective in terms of difficulty? Just looking for another source other than the EOC.

I’ve got finquiz which has more item set questions. Haven’t really started using it yet though so can’t comment on quality.

I actually find the Qbank somewhat trickier than the EOC questions… For the FRA for example I typically score around 80-85% in the EOC questions and 65-70% in the Qbank (most difficult questions only of course).
I really cannot explain this though. One factor is that very often the way questions are formulated in the Qbank is unclear and you can reasonnably choose 2 different answers and still be theoratically right, even if the Qbank considers your answer is wrong. Does this happen to anybody else ?

Doesnt sound like Qbanks getting the best reviews! Are there any alternative suggetions for practising questions in volume other than QBank?

Speaking from experience, the QBank is good for practicing singular concepts. It was good practice for level 1 since they both had the same test structure (one question, one answer), but not for level 2. You really need to practice with case studies and vignettes, since thats how level 2 is structured.

Has finquz released their practice questions? I am still waiting for elan to release their pq but getting impatient

I have finished equity+ FRA+ Derivatives+ Corp finance.
I will start QT tommorow
But side by side i am also starting with scswer q bank and do around 40-50 q everyday on the subjects i have covered. I have to do scswer q bank since i dont have finquiz q bank

I don’t consider them as being very relevant for the exam, but I do use them after finishing a reading to see how well I took in the concepts of the reading and to have a quick ‘review’.
For formulas, I even keep the CFAI-book next to me to look them up, because I consider the QBank as a first exercise, not as a genuine test.
I will use Elan PQ for second review. I found their quality better for L1, and hoping the same for L2 (haven’t used them yet, so no comment on quality). EoC is the final test before mocks.
