HP 12c - Clear contents

A legit question - smart asses keep off..

I have issues clearing the content of my HP 12 in my first attempt. I press the f clx enter, a couple of times before the calculator clears all its history...This is a serious problem becoz I waste time as I have to double check my calculations at least 3 times per question...am frustrated..help!

Don't worry. First, you might use it less than you think, also check the battery so it's not something to do with that. Ask to borrow someone elses HP12 on exam day, to have as a backup. If you think there is something seriously wrong with it, buy a new one!

your clx might be "sticky" or broken.

i had trouble with the "1" key for the longest time (when it press it once, sometimes two occurances come out), so i just asked my company to pay for another. better safe than sorry, just replace it.
