HP12c Gold Vs. HP 12c Platinum

I was introduced to it because I needed it for the CFA exam. My coworkers all use the HP12c so I figured I might as well use the same thing.. took me about a week to learn it but afterwards it was all gravy.
Aside from the test, I use it to balance my checkbook and calculate payments on mortgages/car loans..
