I just passed Level I, should I go for Level II in June 2014?

it comes around once a year, so you better get it in while you still can. or at least that’s my approach.

I still think that’s a horrible strategy to have that mindframe, but that’s your business.
I think maybe you’ve misunderstood…it’s not like its a mind-frame…it is trying to squeeze the CFA into a busy life, not everyone has the luxury to cut out 300 hours. Looking at the jar as half-full, it actually helps stay calm on exam day…Don’t get it twisted, we wanna pass too (and personally I did work like crazy to keep up) but acknowledge that we ll be more self-forgiving and proactive if failure occurs. That to me is what Im calling the practice approach…
But definitely go for it if you’re unemployed or underemployed

To get 300hrs in is only 2.18 hours per day assuming you started yesterday. Not that hard to get that commitment in.
When people talk about this 300 hour rule, does that include time spent on practice questions and mock exams? Or just reading the curriculum?

300 hours of ACTUAL studying.
If your typical hour of studying is 30 minutes of reading, doing problems, thinking, etc. and 30 minutes of checking AF, Facebook, other websites, etc. then you’ll need about 600 hours.
Also, I’d like to add: spend at least 1/2 of your study time doing problems (whether it’s CFAI questions which you should always do or the ones from your provider.)

Hi,
A couple of questions. Should I refresh my memory regarding concepts learned from level 1 before going to level 2? Are topics in level 2 strongly related to the content in level 2?
To be honest, I managed to get <50% in economics but still managed to pass. Evidently, it is my weakest subject throughout the program. Should I relearn (probably browse abit) or just ignore it and focus solely on level 2?

No, just start with L2.
