Not sure if I'm the minority in this forum but the 80-90 score bracket is clearly unattainable for someone of my caliber. For all the average players out there, let me know if I still have a fighting chance with 1 day out.

Month of November in order, scores ain't pretty:

stalla mock 56/56
schweser mock 68/62
stalla exam 1 60/60
elan 1 64/66
stalla exam 2 60/55
cfai mock am 66/ takin other half tomorrow
elan 2 67/70 (tonight)

I belief you are good just try to be on top of your game on saturday, but I think your chances are good, supposing that the passing rate is going to be in the range of 65-70

If you can pull 70% you will pass. 65% is less certain.

You really never know, big topics can wind up not on the exam at all. And small stuff could be huge. Generally though, you don't have to worry that much on level 1, it's fairly straightforward.

When you get to L2, then start worrying about the mind games..

is it worth taking the 2nd CFA mock? the things take forever....i got a 67 on the AM, but feel i worked through it poorly and kind of want to do the PM for a piece of mind in hopes i do better....but then again i feel like i should be practicing my struggle areas

If you are struggling, don't do the full mocks. IMHO of course. I was doing *horrible* the weekend before the exam, and I just did blocks of 10 questions for my weak areas for the next five days and passed.

i am weak in econ and quant, so i did 2 schweser mocks of only those sections yesterday.

yea ive been doing a practice exam in straight FRA....i feel a lot more comfortable now but hope im not forgetting other parts ha....i read through the secret sauce and took notes on stuff i should focus on....also, i always fear ethics...theres too much stuff on this thing, who thought of this damn test and what was i thinking when i signed up AHHHHHH

I would at least go over the questions on Ethics in the CFAI PM mock, they are very difficult and tricky.

HEY! Pasare!

I dont know who these jokers are that are getting 80% either!

I have almost the exact same results as you do for the elan and CFAI.

I have every intention of grinding all night and most of tomorrow. I will be passing.

did CFA mock am, this morning and got 60%, so disappointment. but then did Elan 1 am, got 74% and 55min extra!
Now i am confused, where the heck i am standing!

i would recommend you all should take tomorrow off...maybe look through the schweser quicksheet (or something similar), but dont push hard. save some of the gas for saturday.

Ski2Much - glad to hear someone else out there is in my bracket. Im gradually getting up there as you are too. Im in the mindeset of grinding out problems till the bitter end.

The way i look at it, there are hundreds of candidates that dont use this forum or study as hard as everyone in it. That said, there will be a scale and hopefully it puts us over!

Ok So, I think the trick is that the questions are fairly simple but besides knowing your basics you really do need to think for this exam. They tend to test in round about ways. I know this is stating the obvious but I find that besides testing the knowledge base they're also testing you on your analytical thinking ability.
