If You Failed Your CFA Exam Next Week, Would You Retake?

Good luck calvol, L2 is a beast but one does learn alot across the board

Calvol, well said mate - last century process of evaluation!
I gave this as a feedback as well, not that I expect them to change it - but atleast I did try :) Computer based tests and tests available more frequently & 2 months wait for results are something which I raised.
Again, all the best for your result friend!

CFAI doesn’t have incentive to go to a computer based system. It’s far cheaper to print exam books and use scantron then rent a ton of computers somewhere.. Imagine the ridiculous cost of setting up 5000+ computer terminals at Javits Center NY NY
There’s also no incentive to increase the frequency. Just wait several more years. Currently there’s a massive flood of candidates, soon the market will have a massive flood of CFA charterholders.

I agree with iteracom, CFAI is pretty entrenched in its arena and the incentive to change its format is pretty low as of now.Perhaps when the value of CFA erodes further or when CFAI has real competition…maybe then will the format change (perhaps even content focus)…

My choice is obvious. Take or Retake……………given the circumstances that will be clear in the next 72-96 hours!!

I was actually thinking of tests through these service providers like Pearson actually!
But I understand the folly now of the feedback I provided after you guys have pointed out though :)

“Win or lose, I will surely booze.”
Best response I’ve heard so far.

And thats bloody true as well :) Booze as a celebration OR booze as a way to get rid of “that” feeling :) Good one..

There will be probably a flood of charters and a shift in the pass rate over the next 10 years. The people who passed between 2003-until when it changes will still be the only true charterholders.

Unless they make it harder…in which case the batch of candidates that includes us will be looked down upon, the same way many ppl ridicule pre 2003 test takers…
