IFRS vs US GAAP

Hi everyone,
I’ve been studying for the level 1 CFA on december and something is bugging me. I have seen a lot of comments on schweser’s notes regarding differences between IFRS and USGAAP (inventories, COGS and so forth). Is it common to have questions comparing them, or something specific of either?
