Inferential statistics vs Statistical inference.

Inferential statistics are statistics.
Statistical inference is drawing conclusions from statictics.
Clearly, they’re not the same thing.

You have time to write questions as if you were a 3-year-old.
(∩▂∩) U mean lite questions as if I waz free year old Azn? ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ)

Do you have the study material? Serious question.
It seems to me that you would learn more if you researched these questions yourself instead of logging on here and asking other people to answer your questions. I get asking a question about a concept you are struggling with but these aren’t concepts; they seem more like random thoughts you have while sort of studying.

Agreed. Can this be one of those times where itera comes and tells someone to be a plumber? For someone training to be an analyst, he doesnt seem to have even the slightest analytical capabilities.
The CFA program can teach you the theory of all this, but cant teach you basic analytical skills. They are literally bringing you to the water and kuro is asking us how to drink.
First hint: Google. Second hint: AF search bar.

in regard to two sample tests in section 3.1 and 3.2 in R11, does the sample sizes (n) have to be the same?

3.3 test for mean difference has to be same because it is paired.
3.2 I’m not sure about test for difference between two population mean. BB example 4 used the same size, but the formula has n_1 and n_2. I leaning towards does not have to be same size. Wanna confirm.

i’m trying to understand how to read the chi squared table. what is the total area under the curve? I’m how is it possible to have percentiles larger than 100??

this is the chi sq table from POE4 (Hill et al) taken from SAS. With this table, it is impossible to find the bottom values, hence it would be impossible to solve R11 example 7 with such table?

That’s correct: this table gives only the upper critical values, not the lower critical values.
Use the tables in the CFA Institute book.
