Inflation reducing tax saving on depreciation

While reading corporate finance, I read that inflation reduces tax saving on depreciation of asset. How does it reduces tax saving ? Could you please elaborate

I’m thinking that since depreciation is based on the book value, it’s not reflecting the rising nominal cost of every $ in taxes you will pay.
