Interview at the Baupost Group

a girl at my firm interviewed there (i think maybe for that job) but she didnt get it.
 
I would also recommend checking their 13f at SEC’s edgar to get an idea of the kinds of stocks they invest in. As well as read “You can be a stock market genius” (after margin of safety) to get more info on value investing.
 
also definitely familiarize yourself with distressed debt investing - large multi-strategy types of funds are heavily into this right now. not 100% sure that baupost is active in that space but strongly suspect it.

the question remains, how did you get an interview with them without knowing who they’re to begin with???
those book recommendations are necessary . i would imagine everyone of them have read them.

Holy $hit. thats the most expensive book ive ever seen - just checked it out on amazon and its $2k new (and $750 2nd hand).
