Did anyone have success downloading CFA curriculum books on Ipad? It would be so convenient to have these books on my Ipad…

At the moment you can only view the books by using Safari and logging into Vital Source… It’s not great at the moment, hard to read and navigate, but apparently they are bringing out a dedicated app in August which should be easier to use.

Hate to bump up an old thread…but I just downloaded CFA books to iPad. It’s awesome on iPad. I’m pretty shocked honestly.

Palantir, how do you do this? What Ipad app/login details do you need? I have the material on Vital Source on my PC, do you need to download the Vital Source app?

You need to download the vital source app yes. But I really don’t see how it is “awesome” on the ipad. This application is even more problematic on ipad than on the pc.
The navigation list is incomplete (it is not divided by paragraph but by reading), Switching pages is laggy. Highlighting? … This thing is terrible :/ Wish they had a plain old pdf until they come up with a textbook that works more smoothly ..

Search your registration email, and they have a link to the iPad app. You just download Vitalsource app. After that once you have the app, you find the books you need, you click on them, they download automatically. Setting it up is quite confusing, but once it’s on, it’s really good. If you have downloaded books to your PC, you can transfer them to iPad I believe through iTunes.

Yeah, I hated vital source. Had to use it for an accounting course I took too. I understand why they can’t send us PDF’s, but honestly those are so much better than the glitchy vital source.

Just registed and been using VitalSource few days,
and i dont like it,
PDF:s and goodreader application would be much better and faster to use.
i didn’t order the printed books because here in Thailand i have to pay 40 percent import duty.
