I know for a lot of other exams (entrance exams in particular), it is generally recommended to not study the day before. Is it better to give yourself that break and go into the CFA exam the next morning fresh?

i never had a problem. the last day i just did some review and redoing ethics so its fresh.
i finished around 8 or 9pm and just watched tv or went to the gym
make sure u get enough sleep, that was the hardest part of the day before for me

I personally am planning on running through some ethics scenarios, looking at the ratios list and various annoying formulas that I know will be tested (DuPont, Gordon growth models, convexities etc). Maybe work through some swaps examples if I have time since they always throw me off.
