Is there a better (smarter) way of reading the CFAI material?

Last year I studied from the Schweser Notes + EOC, and CFAI blue boxes, and scored a band 5. This time around I have decided to study from the CFAI material exclusively; however I find the readings very ambiguous and vague. I even find hard to discern what sections are part of the LOS and what parts are just fillers. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Start at the beginning, read to about the middle, then finish her up and read until the end.
Take notes on your reading and use the EOC ?s to reinforce what the fillers are and what you are supposed to get out of the LOS. It takes me about an hour to get through 20 pages, reading and taking notes. It is slow but gets the job done.

Last year I printed out the LOS and read and highlighted each chapter checking off each LOS as I found it in the book (they are all in order). Then I took notes on the chapter based off my highlights.
This worked great for me because when I was done I had complete notes on each LOS and could quickly reference the book as needed.

look at the LOS first, read them all to get a sense of the chapter then start reading. the LOS is usually (98%) in order ,

Yeah actually, I recommend just dropping the CFAI books. It’s not like the material is new to you at this point. The sheer volume of unnecessary words in the CFAI books means that you will waste time that you should be using on practice questions, or reference books that are better summarized.

My approach is read thru the CFAI chapter, highlighting and maybe writing some notes in the margins but nothing detailed. Goal is to do that during the week. As I read I also try to imagine questions that could be asked.
Use weekends to review(using Schweser or something else) and quiz and take more detailed notes/flashcards. Nothing too overboard, you’re going to review this material again in the last month anyway and will definitely add more color to your notes.
Quizzing yourself and reviewing the answers will help you take extra notes as well. Maybe some wrinkles you want to recall come test time.
Make sure you deeply understand each EOC and blue box question too.
