I will embark on the level 2 exam this month and would like your advice on how to go about moving to a new role.
I am a Chartered Accountant and also holds an MBA(finance) with over 10 years of experience. Currently working as Financial controller for a good US company based in Melbourne. The money is good and as now I pass level 1 my wish is more to move to a generic CFA role e.g Corporate Finance or investment Banking etc and of course how to minimise the drop in salary is also important for me.
Here in Melbourne the recruitment agents will give the classic answer of " No experience in those field" . However, I know I will do well in jobs which involves analysing Financial reports as this is my strength .
Is there anyway of going direct to some private firms such as ???
