Jones Soda - JSDA - wow. Trading over 27 today. What a great growth story this has turned out to be.

Has anyone else followed the stock like me? I sure wish I was a part of that!!

i started watching it at the beginning of this month. should've thrown it up as a "stock of the day" question.

Bought it this time last year when I was researching to see if Izze was going to go public. Sold it earlier this year when it traded above 13 and was happy. Thought it was overvalued then....gotta love the Cramer-effect.

Guy who sits across the aisle from me rode it all the way up from 3 but blasted it out when Kramer started talking about it at around 20...

from yahoo finance, JSDA EV/EBITDA: 154.648... anybody dobt Kramer's ability to pump up a stock now???

^ You can't look at trailing EBITDA for a stock like this, it is clearly trading on future earnings...

But I still admit it looks to be ahead of itself

ok, forward P/E: 70.73, PEG over 3 also... I'm sure you can make money long JSDA, but it's about as far from a value play as you can get...

It will require some fuzzy math to create future earnings to sustain this stock at these levels. JSDA is the TASR of 2007.

Seriously I've never look at this company before today. I'd heard the name but never really look at stocks with a market cap < 800MM. Looking at it for the first time, I think one of the most telling things about this company is tha @#$%& recievables grew 88% y/y compared to revenue growth of 16%. That equates to 46% of new revenues being driven by grwoth in rec. It is not unusual to see a small company have that happen but that high of a percentage is knid of alarming. The company isn't generating a ton of cash flow yet so the whole valauation is based on probably 3-4 years out earnings potential. Shorting on valuation is a good way to lose a lot of money but if the fundamentals of this stock deteroiate at all it is going to fall quick. Anyone who has the ability to do channel checks on this company could make a lot of money playing either side.

The whole alt beverage industry has been red-hot in the last few years. (See: HANS)

I wouldn't touch it long or short. Too risky to short a stock like this, its been like a freight train. As the saying goes "The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent"

What a great saying - and so true.

Although I don't always agree with Keynes...That was a classic quote.

Yeah I doubt I'd play either side of this one.
