I have been approached by my employer about pursuing the CFA Charterholder designation and have been encouraged to sit for the Level 1 Exam in June of 2015. Can anyone familiar with this process let me know when I should expect the June 2015 curriculum to become available? I would like to get an early start on studying for this exam. Thank you.

I am the Endowment Porfolio Analyst for Messiah College. I spend the majority of my time anayzing financial statements of companies that we are interested in investing in, as well as asset allocation and portfolio management. I understand that pursuing the CFA charterholder designation is a daunting task, and I am at the very beginning of the road. So any guidance would be appreciated.

^ You still have plenty of time. I would suggest starting in November or December. Enjoy life until then, because you won’t be able to until June.

If you have the time, start now and take it in December; hopefully pass and take L2 in June 15.
I passed L1 in Dec ‘12, L2 in June ‘13, and now awaiting my June ‘14 L3 results. It’s so worth it to get this over with ASAP.

You should take it in December. With any background in Finance you have more than enough time to prepare. I didn’t start until late August.

If you have a finance background, but you have a FT job, you can do the level 1 in 12-14 weeks of dedicated studying. A person with no work (but with a finance background) can do the level 1 in roughly 10 weeks easily. Add a few more weeks to both scenarios if you have no finance/econ/bus/quant BG.

I appreciate all of the encouragement. Does anyone have an idea when the June 2015 curriculum becomes available?
