Hello guys,
I was just wondering how bad my state is right now in terms of being able to prepare to clear Level2. I’m using Scheweser Notes. I’ll be done with Corporate FInance and Financial Reporting book in a couple of days.
I know it’s bad. I’m working in a Big4 so I can spare 2-3 hours every weekday and 8-10 hours on the weekends.
Please sugegst me the plan forward.
P.S. I cleared CPA Exam in November last year. Maybe the knowledge from there would help me somewhere (Financial Reporting was all the same.)

lol. All that is fine. I just wanted to know where you guys actually stand in terms of your preparation for June 2016 exam.
I think it is still possible for me though it is goping to be tough.
 
I’m about 160 hours into CFA II, if I wanted to get 450hours on the exam day I need to average around 4hours per day, which is not really possible…
 
I think it isnt possible. I have put in more than 400 hrs. I havent finished even half of the curriculum. The hours part for level 2 is just a myth. It works for level 1 but squeesing in extra hours in level 2 wont work the same way. So 300 hrs isnt an estimate with which u should go by
 
Have put in around 150 hours so far, just finished the curriculum, haven’t found anything particularly challenging (everything is reasonably tough, but no “Holy f***!” pronounced). With 30h per week, you’ve got 300h more - if passing level I wasn’t a fluke and all goes well, you can have 80% chance of passing at least.

^Best of all, everybody seems to be violating Standard III(C)-Suitability by jumping into premature conclusions without considering any further details and candidate characteristics. But then again, none of the members here are clients to each other.
 
It’s doable. I have only finished first reading of FRA and Equity. I think it can be done.

Why does it make u laugh?
The time for preparation varies with people.
This exam has got more to do with Hardwork than IQ
People want an honest respone.
He said he is working in the big 4. If the work load is too much , How would u get the strength to prepare fo the exam?
Again, you haven’t considered about leave in the last few days before the exam.
Also, preparing for CFA isnt everything in life. If u fail this then u sit for another year doing the same thing all over again.
I really dont see how he can put the time in to cover the entire curriculum.
 
I’m with bigcheese.
First, I love cheese.
Second, these type of posts are not really productive because no matter what others think about your situation, only YOU know whether you can or you can’t take the exam.
