June Exam Results

Pretty sure I failed, but I often get this feeling I passed, until I remember that how I feel today is irrelevant because I was certain I failed after finishing the test and the day after. On the other hand, I saw answers to about 20 or so questions on this board, and I got something like 17 of them correct. So who flippin' knows?
I share the same sentiment as a few people on this forum, I'd be pleasantly surprised if I passed, and not surprised, but disappointed if I failed. If I pass, I get to finish undergrad stress free, and not start studying until late Jan. or Feb. for L2. Otherwise, well you figure how unhappy I'll be.
Just recently friends have asked when the results are coming out, and it is definitely making me more anxious. Ive tried reading which has helped. Note to anyone else, don't read Black Swan by Nicholas Nassim Taleb, 300 pages can be condensed into probably 50 (Just finished, and need to find another book to take my mind of CFA, any good ones?)

Niblita: Are you graduating in '08? I am, and so much is riding on the results. If I passed, I feel like it will drastically change the job search.
Nope, I am graduating in Fall 07. Spring 07 would have me graduating on time. But I decided instead of taking 16+ hours or core business classes that I take half in the spring and study as much as I could for the CFA. I would then take the other half in the fall with the benefit of another Gator football season (it should be interesting how defenses will play us now). Ive heard from recruiters and family friends in finance that just saying you are a CFA candidate at this age shows a lot of commitment. However, from what I've read into it, a small part of what they are looking at overall with students out of college. But hey, it separates us from a lot of people coming out of our respective colleges, nobody really has a clue what it is in Gainesville, and I have yet to meet someone else who is taking it there.

It could change it, but most likely not drastically. (though it depends what you are aiming for)

It could change it, but most likely not drastically. (though it depends what you are aiming for)
I think people put too much weight on passing L1, so if it's any consolation (just in case people don't pass), the reality is that it just isn't that big of a deal.

feel the same. its very strange, I've passed a lot of exmas in univ but, as I remember, was almoast allways definitely confident about the results - pass/fail. but this time feelings change rather frequently. dont know why, and what is that. however, wish everyone to see 'pass' mark in a week or couple of weeks.

feel the same. its very strange, I've passed a lot of exmas in univ but, as I remember, was almoast allways definitely confident about the results - pass/fail. but this time feelings change rather frequently. dont know why, and what is that. however, wish everyone to see 'pass' mark in a week or couple of weeks.

In the past, Level 1 June exam results have been released in late July (Jul 28, 2004; Jul 26, 2005; Jul 26, 2006)
This is what i told myself while waiting for l1 results....................
-nobody gives a crap how much you worry about results
-worrying is not going to change grade on paper or gain extra marks
-i told my self i fought a war against the cfai and if i thoght about it, and i would have flashbacks about it a la a pow(blaspmous perhaps but it worked)
-in my heart i made an honnest attempt to pass and read the material issued by the people who write the test i prepared for and did not try to cut corners and after all this if i still failed well then frick the cfa institute.........hope that helps. Good luck.

I definitely agree. I've spoken with some people who were impressed that I was even taking the exam. On the other hand, one person said "Anyone could sign up for the exam. My mother could sign up for it, " which is completely true. But passing would definitely distinguish a new college grad from the rest of the pack.
