I think retab is possible to have a change, but its a long long LONG shot. I spent the 100 bucks a couple of years ago to have a person simply rescore the scantron, and retab the score of the AM portion. They do not regrade the AM portion. I guess you could say they regrade the afternoon, by ensuring that your marks were properly read by the scantron.
Personally I wouldn’t do it. But band 10 is so close, it may just depend on how much a $100 bucks means to you relative to the 300-500 hours to keep going.
Sorry, I’ve been there…I know how you feel. Odds are the retab will just be a donation to the CFA coffers.

+1

there are enough redundancies in the grading that it’s unlikely they miss counted the AM points. chances of the scantron messing up is even smaller. you are throwing away money for a peace of mind. your choice

In the long history of the CFA Program (1963-2016), is there any proof a retab has ever worked out?
In case you find such information, I would consider it. In case you don’t, I would keep the 100 bucks in my pocket or spend it on energy drinks for next year.

there are only rumors of a success story. it was a situation where someone felt like they crushed the test, but the score came back as a huge fail. retabulation submitted and came back PASS

Bad AM, average PM. Had to have a better afternoon session. You’re close though, get it next year dude. Hopefully you stayed away from the booze.
