CFA L1 was the hardest test I can ever remember taking. I must have guessed on 10 questions and barely finished on time. Any other L-1 candidates feel this way.
I did have to randomly guess a few times as well, and used almost all the time. But there were also a lot of questions I knew for sure, and Im sure you did too. Dont get too down...Im sure you did fine
It was difficult in that it covered a lot of material, but the problems generally seemed straightforward IF you knew and understood the material (unlike, say, some math tests that require you to see lots of non-obvious implications of the material).
I think I did well enough to pass, but again, won't know till I actually see the results....
...and as for tests that i've taken that are harder...my corporate finance, advanced microeconomics, econometrics, and cell biology classes in school were all harder.
It was hard in a sense that there were alot or tricky questions, there was a few on the ethics, econ, and fin. I agree that most of the material tested was straight forward but some was tricky, thats all.
