Hi,

I started preparing for L1 for dec 2006 exam. Anybody like to share email to exchange problems and prep work.

I am currently reading the CFA text books. In this forum many mentioned that they are using Schweser. Is it really worth it? Will it not be better to just text books and then do as many as questions you can get from schweser ans stalla etc. Does these courses notes worth it if you are ready to read from text books?

Thanks a lot in advance! Any suggestion will be highly appreciated and best of luck for June candidates.

Hi Deepak,
I too started preparing for L1 for 2006 through text books.

As I am from a non-financial back ground, I am feeling it's better to grasp the concepts through text books.

Currently I am reading "Investment analysis and Portfolio management" 6th ed.

send me an email at [email protected].

Thanks,
Siva

Hello Deepak, Siva,
I have started with the textbooks as well (although going very slow so far).
How much have you guys read up till now, and what is the level of difficulty?

Hi Everybody,

I started 3 weeks ago. It taking me 10 pages / hr. I am going to finish Quantitative and capital budgeting first. I am planning to finish these two parts in another two weeks. probably FSA afer that. FSA and Asset valuation is 60% so I want to move to that part ASAP. Ethics in the end.

Which calculator you guys have purchased. I have not been able to plan that.

Hi Everybody,

I plan to take the L1 exam in December. I have just started my preps with Ethics.

i just started too. i glanced thru study notes on ethics and tried 60 questions. it looked easy but i ended up getting around 38. alot of the questions are long and tiring to go thru and there're usually more than one answer that looks right. how do you guys feel about it?
