L3 Hours

For those of you who have tracked hours throughout the program, how many hours did you put in for L3? How did this compare to L1 and L2? Let’s assume that all hours logged are quality study time.
I have tracked hours meticulously since day 1 of the CFA program. I logged 350+ hours for L1 & 450+ hours for L2. With increased work committment this year, I am planning on putting in 350 hours for L3.
I would like to compare L3 hours vs L2 and L1. For those of you who tracked hours, please advise
 
A lot of people don’t believe in tracking hours. That said I was someone who did track my hours in a spreadsheet. I spent about 400 hrs on Levels 2 and 3 when I passed.
 
I really believe there is too many variables between different people to get value from this kind of question. How many hours Jon Smith took to get through each level, won’t really give me any indication of how many hours I will need, imo.
I think best is to plan a ballpark, as you did (350), and plan a “milestone schedule” (I want to be finished book 1 by…first read by…etc etc.) and then a few weeks in you re-evaluate your plan and how realistic it is based on how long it’s taking you.
Just my 2 cents, but obv do you.
 
tracking hours has certainly helped me stick to my study plan. it let’s me know when i’ve slacked off and how much time I need to put in to make up for it. That being said, I stopped keeping track of hours in the beginning of May for Level 1 and the beginning of April for L2 so I could focus solely on filling the gaps in my knowledge in preparation for each test
 
L1: Likely around 300, maybe a little less. Didn’t track exact hours.
L2: Just over 500
L3: Planning for 500-550. Might be a bit excessive but we’re so close and I want to give it the full attention that I did at Level 2.
Currently at 9hrs…Just started and loving the Behavioural Finance material thus far.

Those are impressive hours. All the material seems interesting.
 
Level 1: 280 hours
Level 2: 420 hours
Level 3: Gonna shoot for 500
I barely started studying since I’m prepping for the GMAT in beginning of December.

L2 was 256 hours, L3 was 202.5 hours. L1 I didnt track but probably between 200-300 hours.
 
almost 2k hours for both L1 and L2
targetting for another 2k this L3.
Iam spending a massive time in reading cause I read very slow, like 10 pages per 3hours.
 
You have to survive the “6 Hours”.
Before that,focus on making the curriculum (Y)ours.
Don’t count the hours.Make the hours count.

Do you even have a life?
 
Level II was around 280 hours. Level III was 250. I didn’t track for Level I but believe it was somewhere around 250. The quality of study time is more important than the absolute number, in my opinion.
