Hey, I am and am almost done reading shweser first time around..interested in studying together?
 
I am also taking the exam in Dec07. Took it in June07 and failed.
 
yeah, i failed in june due to the lack of study + not doing enough practice tests
 
Would be interested to meetup. Registerd for Level-1 this Dec (07) and currently reading Bond Valuation (Book 5). Statying and working in Jersey City.

I'm planning to take it in Dec 07 as well...however I don't have a financial background and just 6 months of professional experience working for a hedge fund/asset management firm...hoping to start by this weekend...

wreckingcru, No need to worry. Even I am in the same situation as yours. Dont have formal Finance Background. I am from Technology background, working on software developments for i-bank. Every Schweser page brings in new surprises for me. But I think with stong commitment, perseverance and dedication as the tool, We will crack it this Dec 07.

I registered for CFA Level I Dec 2007 exam and just started my preparation for the exam. I know it is delayed in nature however at present schedules, I have more than 4 hours a day and entire weekends plans to prepare for the examination. I have Master in International Finance with little experience in Finance industry. I interested to form a group so that we can exchange information and study together. I prefer the Cafe Esperanto on the MacDougal Street. Thus gives an opportunity to everyone committed with confidnece to take exam in Dec 2007 to meet at some place. The group meet will start at Sunday 9.00 AM to Sunday 12.30 PM. If the group wanted to meet more frequenty than present once a week schedule, we can accommodate that too.

I will be writing the exam in NYC as well. Not sure that I want to be at some cafe at 9 in the morning on a Sunday. Actually I'll pass on the cafe, somebody with something more serious I would join.
