I have two questions: One, I passed Level 1 in December and was wondering if you think sitting for the Level II exam in June would be worth the time and effort given I only have 4 months to study? Or would it be better to start studying in Sept/October this year for June 2013? Secondly, I was wondering after you pass Level I in June 2011 when did you order the 2012 CFA Level II curriculum? Asked another way is the 2012 curriculum available in the Fall 2011 or does the CFA release the Level II curriculum only in January of each year for the June exam?

Thank you for any insight!

just got for it if you have the time. even if you fail, it doesn’t really hurt your progress.

CFA curriculum books are released in July end every year for the following year exam. June 2013 exam books will be released July of 2012.
Agree with other posters - just go for it this june. Give it your best shot - even if you fail, you will be more experienced to retake it, plus your time spent will be useful next time around. Additionally, it will benefit those who sit for the exam to goose the numbers :)
