I think we can forget about Level-I. What's done's done. Even if you think about what you did, it won't change your performance or your scores. Instead, we'll end up getting more anxious. I think we can save ourselves some anxiety and think about the next thing- Level II.

When are you guys planning to start studying for it? Anybody buying schweser, esp. because the curriculum will be included in the fees.

Frankly speaking, I am very excited. I can't wait for the new curriculum for 28 to be released. I am planning to start reading evrything "casually" as soon as I register. I might buy schweser, though I am not too sure. People in the level-II are pretty enraged and I don't know what needs to be done.

Thoughts?

If I get through Level 1 I plan to buy this years Level 2 books off ebay as they will be dead cheap and read them casually until next year, after which will buy the real 2008 ones. Might still buy schweser though.

i prob will do the same- i'm not going to even think about level 2 material until i have confirmation of a pass on this one though.

Yeah, if I pass, that's what I plan to do. Read some old Schweser until the new ones come out and then read the CFAI books. People in Level-II are burnt because they didn't read the curriculum as much as they should have. I thnk we should take note of that.

I will go for the Schweser book and the original curriculum. Read the CFA stuff once, highlight the things I expect to be important and re-read them with one month to go.

Then the last month I want to spend going over old exams, BSAS, Book 6 and most importantly - CFA online exams.

It's a long way to go, though!

Yeah, can't believe it will be next june and if we fail it, next june 2009 again. The thing is- even if we fail level 1 now, we will re-take it in dec., when I am sure we will pass. That means level-2 will still bein 06/08.

I will read my GMAT stuff until I officially passed. That I will buy schweser. (company pays for it who cares :p)

My two cents: Yes, LII is more difficult than LI. However, I wouldn't let a few unprepared posters on the LII board scare you. The material is more difficult then LI but if you are prepared then the exam will seem very straightforward. I've solely relied on the CFAI materials at each level so I can't comment on the adequacy of various study providers. I will say that it makes sense to incorporate the CFAI material in your studies as the exams are based on the assigned readings.

TMurf! How did it go for you? I tried searching for you, couldn't find you though. Did you change your dress?

Thank you for your advice. I think I am going to read the CFAI Curriculum for Level-II. That should solve all our problems.

I thought it went well. I felt a little rushed in the morning but still finished on time. Overall, I feel pretty good about it though. How about you?

No, I still wore my lucky white polo shirt and jeans. Where were you sitting in the exam room?

Good to hear that. Hey were you the one who was wearing ear plugs even before the test started?

I was sitting in Section C. Seat 110. Level I. Where were you?

No, I wasn't wearing ear plugs. I was sitting in section F. It was the back right of the room. I was on the left side of the second group of desks from the right (if that makes sense).

Was section C the back left?

Yeah, section C was Back Left. I don't think I saw you then.

The test went well for me. I think I should be able to clear this. You must be really excited. You get the much coveted three letters pretty soon.

That's a good sign if you feel good about the exam. I am very excited. Assuming I passed, I still have some time before I get the three letters because I haven't completed the work experience requirements. That will the easy part though.

There was this girl sitting accross the isle to my left taking LI and she was giving me this sort of "I know something you don't know" look. I assumed it was you. Maybe I had something on my face.

That's really nice to hear. If you feel good, probably you will clear it then. ( I am sure I don't need to tell you that).

Btw, if I would have seen someone looking like you, I would have definitely walked up and said hello. Maybe that girl liked you ;)

I took the exam in Boston - sat in section P. I put in my earplugs maybe 10 minutes before each section started. I can't stand all the coughing and grunting. Wish I could take these tests in a classroom setting rather than with 2,000+ people.

BTW, where were you coming from? You said you had a 3 hour drive?

Haha, that should have put you on a high! j/k

jsic, I agree. Even I had my earplugs on. I can't stand all that noise either. As soon as the proctors got done with the instructions, I put in my earplugs.

It was actually after the test when they were counting the booklets when I noticed her staring at me. At that time there wasn't much left in me to feel anything.
