I came out of AM session with a sense of having nailed it, except the last 2 questions where I had to gamble. Quite surprised with AM scores. Wrote the exam with a pencil and hence not sure of how it appeared to the evaluator. Thinking of requesting a retabulation. What is the success rate with Retabulation request for Level III in the past.
Thanks a ton for any information.

Don’t do it.. I did last year as I had a Band 10.. it’s a waste of $100

Thanks. I was in Band 8 :(

every year, this is in discussion.
If your AM has sections <50%, chances are you only scored 1,2 points. If the grader has no idea what your response is about. ZERO

Possibly true. My Level 2 was in 2005 and since then was a PM with a couple of Global multi-strat HFs at NYC/ HKG (till 2012) and too much of a practitioner and now almost thinking of becoming a teacher!!

that is actually an admirable move. Hone a particular study in Finance/Economics and teach that but only do it if you are passionate and wish to be ELITE in that field. Otherwise, you’re lying to yourself and doing just a… job.

Band 10 fail this year, it’s a waste of money for retab, but I’ve gone for it anyway. I wouldn’t retab for anything less than a band 10.

Hmmm.. everything is just a … job at the end of it. But you have a point.

Do they do that in US of A. Thought its possible at HKG and Macau only.

Nope. Don’t do it even for a band 10. I’m a band 10 failure and I going to spend the $100 on something to help ease the woes of being a failure.
There is not a SINGLE report on AF of a successful retab…CFAI laughs their asses off at re-tabbers.

I requested a retab for Level 2 in 2014, with a Band 10 score – that was $100 down the drain…

don’t waste your money. Nearly impossibile that they’ll change the result. Next year, I recommend LevelUp bootcamp. Made all the difference in the world to me, and I walked out confident and passed with flying colors. Marc, the instructor is simply genius.

Thanks DDub.

Agreed. Save your $100 for Marc. Unfortunately, most people need to fail once before they become humble enough to accept they need CFA Seal Training: Marc
