I am in the same situation. Band 8 (this is my second attempt).
Results of this year:
AM:
6 below, 3 middle and 1 above.
PM:
1 Below, 2 middle and 7 above.
Same story, I felt that I did really really well in the AM. And I felt that PM was veeeery difficult and full of tricks!
My question is, were there many tricks in the AM that I haven’t discovered??????????????? My result in the AM is almost impossible!
Specially this is my second attempt, and my scores in the AM this time are worst than my last year band 6 result!!!!!!
Differences in my preparations between last year and this year:
1- doing the 5 Schweser books. last year did only 4 books.
2- doing my own hand written notes this time on all of the 5 books.
3- doing all of CFAI EOC questions this year + 2 mocks. Last year nothing except one mock exam, 1 day before the exam!
4- getting 68-75 range on my mock this year VS 55-58 last year.
5- Left only 1 out of the10 Cases in the morning session this year as blank VS 3.5 out of 11 Cases of last year AM session I left as blank!
Despite all those efforts, Last year I managed to get the following in the AM:
5 Below, 3 middle and 3 above!
which is much better than this year AM!
What might went wrong guys? I am serious in asking this question!!
