so what has everyone been doing in the last couple days. I hit the gym up for the first time in about 3 months and boy did ever feel so good not to rush through anything and come home and relax.

I hit the gym after 3 months too. It was a weird feeling. I am trying to find to new job, so tightening up my resume. Does anyone know how job market is right now ?

I've been doing a lot of shopping! hope I did not fail, otherwise I won't have any money to pay for the re-take.

went out to a bar tonight, tossed back quite a few IPA's. couldn't be happier.

Not very good. I'm in the same boat, and am trying to move into an IM position in SoCal. What type of job are you looking for?

What is your current job ? I work for a bank in Chicago, in risk management team (unsecured sub-prime portfolio). Its not very exciting, regular delinquency forecasting, risk segmentation, charge-off mitigation strategies, impact analysis etc.
I want to go into financial consulting or may be asset management side. I heard market is full with equity analysts, so not much of a chance. I don't even know where to start.
What are you looking for ?

I'm actually in chicago too... Worked at LaSalle Bank in Corporate Finance (chose not to take job at B of America so got severance package), finished MBA at U of C, took L1, and am in the process of looking for an equity research position in San Diego (where my family is).

It might be a good idea to get involved with the CFA society of Chicago. You don't need to complete the L3 in order to do so, and its a great opportunity to network with people in the field. I've been fortunate that there are some Chicago alums that I have tapped into, but I also plan on getting involved with the CFA society of San Diego. Everyone who I have talked to said that this type of position will fall into my lap, so am just trying to keep networking. At some point, when these guys start hiring, I should be on their radar.

I want to be a good employee not turning my computer to analyst forum during work hours

i want to be a good mum, i have been too busy for my children because of this exam

i want be a good wife, i told my husband that CFA was not turning to be more important than him. For the last month i was actually very happy to hold my book than to hold him

I want to do some fund raising for my charity. I have another home called"The Safe home". I look after street children sending them to school and giving them a home enviroment. They stay with a foster mother.

I want to visit freind and family.

Audrey - I hear you - my husband and kids have felt a little neglected the last month or so back! They are just as happy as I am that the exam is over!

While I was in the exam on Saturday, my husband cleared my desk at home, put all the books away on shelves, left a bunch of papers and exams that I wrote on the desk, and told me he thought it would be a nice touch, so that I would not stress cleaning up my mess. My part would be to decide what to do with the papers not yet decided.

Im still with my papers on the table, Im waking up with my calculator near on the nigh table, and as I remember some problems first thing in the morning when I woke up, I work them out.

Other than baking a fruit tart, I have done nothing else but freaking out with each thread in this forum.

i'm so bored when i go home now. i need something to fill the void left by not studying. i think i might learn how to write macros in VB or just start reading more.

i also need to start working out since i gained almost 15 pounds since i started studying

Watching Euro08, Funnily enough, I also have a friend named Miss Jane.

Sitting at the places where I studied (coffe shops, library, Denny's) and reading a book there instead of studying. Try it. It's nice.

I live in Toronto, I am looking for a new job in some asset management firms. Practicing a lot golf, going to impress my future boss. Watching Euro 08 (Ronaldo is amazing or what) I should have become a baller instead of a banker.

In Chicago too, want to get into asset mgt. (on the sell side right now) in fixed income though.

So far, I tried to run 5 miles last night, a normally easy task. Not so much :(

Props to your husband map1.

I'm in Chicago here. I do asset-liability work for pension plans at a consulting firm.

I've been going nuts at the gym and drinking at nights!

I work downtown.
