LOS for reading 1

Hello.

I am a little puzzled by the first learning outcome statement of reading 1.
I know, it makes me sound like a fool (I mean, there's no way i could get puzzled earlier) but I do )

the first LOS says you should be able to state the 7 standards of Professional Conduct.
Does that mean you have to remember those 3 pages full of text by heart ?

Or that you should just remember the section titles ?

No the actual text, word for word. You should record it on a tape and listen to it over and over. Thats what we all did

of the Code of Ethics." Therefore,

with the public, clients, prospective clients, employers, employees, colleagues
in the investment profession, and other participants in the global
capital markets.
* Place the integrity of the investment profession and the interests of clients
above their own personal interests.
* Use reasonable care and exercise independent professional judgment when
conducting investment analysis, making investment recommendations, taking
investment actions, and engaging in other professional activities.
* Practice and encourage others to practice in a professional and ethical
manner that will reflect credit on themselves and the profession.
* Promote the integrity of, and uphold the rules governing, capital markets.
* Maintain and improve their professional competence and strive to maintain
and improve the competence of other investment professionals.
